The Prophetess " And I heard another voice from
heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that
ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye
receive not of her plagues." Relation 18:4
" You who are the worshipers of zero - you have never discovered that achieving life is not the equivalent of avoiding death." Ayn Rand in "Atlas Shrugged "
One of the most prophetic books of
recent times is Ayn Rand's " Atlas Shrugged
" . The book was written in the late fifties, and
describes how the world as we know it, comes to an
end. In the light of recent developments, the novel
was prophetic, the time has come.
Ayn Rand's novel of how the world system collapses is not without it's flaws, however the remarkable insight she had at the time, is clearly reflected as the novel progresses through a period of twelve years. The main theme of the novel is that the world is maintained by rational man, and that the only solution for this corrupt world, is for rational man to go on strike; to stop supporting an irrational world, and let the present world system collapse. The main character, " John Galt " , remains in the background, and does not openly come into the picture, until the end of the novel, when he make his appearance, and the system collapses. The major flaw of the novel is that Ayn
Rand believed that natural man could behave
rationally, by an act of will. She believed that it
was possible for natural man (irrational man), to be
rational, without having to be converted. In
other words, she did not proclaim the message
according to the gospel, even although she
was converted. She was a profoundly spiritual person
with some minor misconceptions. Unfortunately these
misconceptions caused her many heartaches, and
problems, in her personal life. Ayn Rand proclaimed to be an atheist. In
the sense that she did not believe in the
'God' of this world, she was right. Any person
who has read her novels, will know that she was
indeed a prophetess. The titles of her three main
novels: "We The Living", "Atlas Shrugged", and
"The Fountainhead", tells it all. In summary then: " Atlas Shrugged "
is a novel that predicted the second coming
of the Son of man, and the subsequent collapse of
the corrupt world system. Those who have been
waiting for her prediction to come true, will not be
disappointed. " We started with
no time limit in view, said Galt. We did not know
whether we'd live to see the liberation of the
world or whether we'd have to leave our battle and
our secret to the next generation......But now we
think that we will see , and soon, the day of our
victory and of our return. " Ayn Rand

Addendum: (27 October 2018) Ayn Rand did not accept that an individual's mindset is an absolute. A person has a rational mindset, or he has an irrational mindset. An irrational mindset person can only become a rational person, if he accepts in faith that he has an irrational mindset. He cannot know that he has an irrational mindset. Once the confession is made and followed by true remorse, a person is born again, and becomes an individual with a rational mindset. His outer world then becomes an inner world, the real world.
