Virtues
and
Values
" Wherefore, my dearly beloved,
flee from idolatry." Can morality be taught ? Is it
possible to educate society in order to improve
the moral fiber of society ? Can we teach a person
values, so that a person become a better person?
Is the world in such a mess because of a lack of
education ? Should we continue to
indoctrinate the masses, for the
'good' of all ? The answer to all these
questions is an emphatic; No !
Natural man is corrupted, immoral. All the 'education' in the world will not change anything. The answer to all our problems can be found in the message according to the Gospel. The renewal(restoration) of the mind. When man loses his identity, he becomes separated from reality. He becomes a fallen angel, separated from his Creator. Fallen man is referred to as natural man. Everything natural man perceives is valuated according to natural man likes(wants) and dislikes(don't wants). He is totally subjective, removed from the real world. Morality is a characteristic of a spiritual mindset. The mindset of a person who has been converted from a natural person, to a spiritual person. The only way for natural man to regain his morality is by conversion. His morality needs to be restored by means of transformation. Natural man is immoral, irrational, corrupted., As long as he is not converted, he remains deluded, and he has an irrational mindset. Virtues are moral attributes. Values
are carnal attributes. Virtues are
characteristic of a rational(spiritual) human
being. Values are characteristic of a
irrational(natural) human being. Virtues are
absolute , values are relative. Virtues are
inherent, values are imposed. Virtues are
objective(real), values are
subjective(superficial). The virtue "love",
differs from the value 'love', in the sense that
the value 'love', has another component, 'hate'.
Values are dualistic, virtues are holistic. The
value 'love' is also 'hate'. Like
Orwell put it: " love is hate ".
Emotions are value responses,
feelings derived from idolatry. Feelings cannot be
trusted. Idolatry is the act of removing the
part, from the whole, and then making the removed
part, a new 'whole', an idol. Idolatry comes from
separation, from separating part of reality, from
reality. When part of reality is removed
from reality, it becomes not reality(fantasy).
Idolatry is the result of a distorted perception,
a delusion. Putting a plus, or minus value, on
something that is not real. Idolatry always
implies that there is more, or less, than One.
Be prepared, the world as we know it is in a state of collapse. Soon there will be a new heaven(spirit) and a new earth(perception). The harvest is ripe. |
